better late than never i always say...

please excuse my tardiness, procrastination, laziness as well as my ridiculous shrek quotes, but i'm back! and boy do i have some stufffff to say. one word, February. it has truly kicked my ass mentally and emotionally and its not even over yet. the last couple of weeks have been filled with disappointment, frustration, sadness, but most importantly victory because through it all, i made it out ay-ok. don't get me wrong, valentine's day is supposed to be filled with love & mine was! i love my family and my friends! my job, and my life isn't all bad! but the devil, was working very hard to get me, but he didn't.

I literally looked the devil in the face and ALMOST slipped right back into his arms, and if you know me you know EXACTLY who i'm talking about lol. but to God be the glory, I didn't fall short.

I feel like as young people we are faced with adversity quite a bit in our lives. It's up to us to pick ourselves back up and try again. we all make mistakes, and we all get confused and make judgement calls, and we don't always make the right decisions. the most important part is that, ITS OKAY! God knew every single thought you'd ever have, every action, and every move you were going to make before he even placed you in your mother's womb. He would not put you through something he didn't think you could handle and we have got to remember that. we all slip and fall short of his glory! don't you think Jesus slipped when he was walking on water? probably not, but you're not him! you shouldn't aim for perfection, aim for authenticity. and learn to be the best YOU that You can be.

so i guess my past couples weeks haven't been all bad. because i actually learned a couple things. one is that i have become a lot stronger that i thought. and two, "time may change me, but i cant change time"
